CUTTACK: Hoping to be the youngest matriculate of the country, eight-year-old Millennium Bismay, who was allowed by the High Court to sit for the matriculation examination in March this year, has again knocked the doors of the court. The wonder boy and his uncle have appealed to the court to vacate the stay on publication of his result. Though the boy was allowed to sit for the examination, the court restrained the State Board of Secondary Education (BSE) from publishing his result without the leave of the court. Accordingly, Bismay's result was withheld when the results were published on May 29. His counsel Ashok Mohapatra on Thursday said that a miscellaneous case was filed on behalf of the boy's uncle Niranjan Behera, urging the court to direct the BSE to publish the result. "Since the court is now closed for summer vacation, we hope the vacation court scheduled to sit on June 6 will take up the petition and direct the BSE to declare the result," Mr. Mohapatra said. BSE officials had earlier indicated that as Bismay was allowed to take the examination along with other examinees, his answer sheets were also evaluated normally along with those of other students. "Since the court ordered that without the leave of the court, the boy's result would not be published, we are waiting for further directions of the court in this regard. As soon as we get green signal from the court, we will publish his result," Minister for Mass Education Bishnu Das said.
