Girls do well in Ramnad and Sivaganga also

RAMANATHAPURAM: The district has produced good results in the SSSLC examinations, as overall pass percentage has improved marginally than the previous years'.

The pass percentage of the district is 86.05, which is 5 per cent more than the previous year. Moreover, the overall pass percentage is little higher than the state average.

Out of 15800 students, 13597 students have passed. While the pass percentage of girls is 87.58, it is 84.56 in the case of boys. Out of the 131 schools, 18 have produced centum results. S. Subashini of Sourashtra HSS, Paramakudi, secured the district first rank with 481 marks.

The second rank went to S. Sivaranjani of K.N. GHSS, Kamudhi, who scored 480. The third rank was shared by R. Nageswaran of Sourashtra HSS and Munafar Riffaya of Syed Ammal HSS, Ramanathapruam.

In the matriculation, 779 students out of 841 students emerged successful registering a pass percentage of 92.63. N.K. Sonia of Schwartz Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Ramanathapuram, Z. Arsia Sahanas Begam of National Academy got the first and second ranks in the district. L. Arun Prasanth, A.V.M.S MHSS, Ramanathapuram and K. Guna Pradeep of Syed Ammal MHSS shared the third place.

Sivaganga

The district has done well by securing 89 per cent pass in the SSLC examinations.

Out of 14832 students, including 7640 girls, who appeared for the examinations, 13202 students have passed.
