A different film for Parthepan

R. Parthepan and Bharathi in "Ammuvagiyanan".

Parkar Brothers' "Ammuvagiyanan" is a story about a commercial sex worker. Director Padmamagan said it was difficult to choose a heroine for the role. The search for a lead actress, in fact, extended to Mumbai and beyond. "But at the end of the day we got someone nearer home. Bharathi hails from the Kovai region," said the director.

Deciding the hero was simple. His rustic looks swung it for R. Parthepan.

After listening to the story, the actor is reported to have said he felt that the film would be a milestone in his career.
