CHENNAI: Rainfall occurred at most places over Lakshadweep and at few places over Kerala. Isolated rainfall occurred over coastal Karnataka, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. Mainly dry weather prevailed over Tamil Nadu and interior Karnataka. Dry weather prevailed over Rayalaseema. Aminidivi recorded a heavy rainfall of 8 centimetres.

Bhadrachalam, Rentachintala and Hanamkonda recorded the highest maximum temperature of 43 degree Celsius in the region.

FORECAST (Valid Until Sunday Morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places over Lakshadweep and at a few places over coastal Karnataka and Kerala. Isolated rain or thundershowers are also likely to occur over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and south interior Karnataka. Mainly dry weather will prevail over north interior Karnataka and Rayalaseema.

Outlook for Subsequent Two Days: No significant change.
