JAKARTA: A 15-year-old Indonesian girl, who died on Tuesday in Central Java, was infected by avian influenza, raising the death toll to 79 in the country, the Health Ministry said here on Friday. The girl had contacts with fowls and scores of chickens died recently in her house and her neighbour's, said an official of the anti-bird flu centre of the ministry. ``Laboratory tests showed positive for bird flu today,'' he said. Indonesia has agreed to resume sharing its virus sample with the WHO for scientific purposes. Xinhua
