Corporate billiards
The Karnataka State Billiards Association has announced a corporate championship. "I think it as a logical step considering the fact that all the big corporates in Bangalore, including Wipro, Infosys and other IT giants have their own tables and top executives and other employees regularly play the game," Vijayaprasad, Joint Secretary, KSBA, said. KSBA's inaugural event is expected to attract over 30 teams. KSBA plans to run the event on league-cum-knockout format and conduct it over the weekends. The start of the championship has been re-scheduled to June 16 as many companies had sought time to conduct their own internal selections to field the teams and last date for entries is June 12.
