Double for Vigneshwaran, Anusha

Coimbatore: R. Vigneshwaran of Vidhya Niketan and Anusha Singla of Avila Convent bagged a double each in the CDTA-AITA Talent Series tennis tournament at the CDTA courts in RS Puram here on Friday.

The top-seeded Vigneshwaran clinched the under-14 and 16 boys' titles defeating A. Veerabadran in two sessions and Anusha put paid to the hopes of top seed S.A. Shree Sanjana for the under-16 crown.

Later, Anusha paired with Shreya Ravichandran to defeat S. Swetha and Sanjana 7-5, 7-5 for the doubles title.

The results (all finals): Boys: U-16: R. Vigneshwaran bt A. Veerabadran 6-2, 6-0. Doubles: V. Senthil Kumar/ Harish Ramakrishna bt R. Vigneshwaran/ Veerabadran 6-2, 6-1. U-14: R. Vigneshwaran bt A. Veerabadran 6-1, 6-0.

Girls: U-16: Anusha Singla bt Sanjana 6-3, 6-3. Doubles: Anusha/ Shreya Ravichandran bt Swetha/ Sanjana 7-5, 7-5.

U-14: S. Swetha bt S.A. Shree Sanjana 6-4, 6-0.
