Chennai: "See the glow on my face. Don't you think I am enjoying my bowling," Irfan Pathan said. The left-arm paceman is at the MRF Pace Foundation, correcting the faults that have crept into his bowling. And he was buzzing, bowling to a nice rhythm and at a lively pace. Pathan, striving for a comeback into the Indian side, said here on Friday, "I am ready for the challenge. The rest depends on selection and luck. Of course, I need matches and I need to perform." About his trip to the foundation, he said, "I had to work on my bowling during the break. Sometimes, even when you are in form, you start going wrong technically. And because of so many matches, you don't have the time to correct them. I called up Mr. T.A. Sekhar and he was ready to help me." Sekar, head coach, MRF Pace Foundation, Said, "we worked on his run-up. His shoulders were swaying and he was not able to control his body movement. We worked on him moving from smaller steps to bigger strides." Sekar added, "his load-up was in the same leg as his bowling arm. The load-up was early. We shifted him from a left leg load up to a right leg load up. This has cut out the twisting of his top half. His front arm is now straighter. I always felt Irfan could come out of the problem. A smooth run-up and the load-up on the right leg is the answer. His methods are more efficient now. He is bowling much quicker. He has been corrected up to 95 per cent."
