Meet to discuss knowledge park

  • Kinfra submits report on the venture in Kozhikode
  • Park to come up with private sector participation

    MALAPPURAM: The State Government will organise a brainstorming session on the `development of a knowledge park,' at Kadavu Resort near Ramanattukara on Saturday. Minister for Industries Elamaram Karim will chair the session. CEO of ICICI Knowledge Park Deepanwita Chattopadhyay, chief executive officer of TCG Urban Infrastructure Holdings Prasanta K. Biswal, Infosys Chairman and CEO Kris Gopalakrishnan, Venture Management Association president G. Vijayaraghavan and experts of IT and related fields in the State will attend.

    Kerala Industrial Infrastructure Development Corporation (Kinfra) — which has undertaken the implementation of 15 theme-based industrial parks in sectors like textile, animation, food processing, infotainment, biotechnology and export processing — submitted a concept report for developing such s park in Kozhikode.

    The park will be developed with private sector participation, encompassing knowledge-based sectors. The session, convened by Industries Ministry, is expected to give shape to the draft of the strategy.
