HYDERABAD: The revised draft Master Plan of HUDA - 2020 for non-Municipal Corporation of Hyderabad area is back for public perusal and suggestions at HUDA headquarters in Begumpet for one last time before the State Government approves and notifies it. After nearly a two-year exercise of preparing the revised draft Master Plan - 2020, comprising 18 zones covering non-MCH area of HUDA jurisdiction (excluding the erstwhile MCH area and the newly extended area of HUDA) along with land use, building and layout regulations, and incorporating suggestions and objections of the public, the HUDA submitted the comprehensive revised draft master plan for approval of the Government in April 2005. Subsequently, the Government directed HUDA to make certain modifications like deleting multiple use zone in the areas covered by Government Order 111, incorporating 22 proposed satellite townships along and around the proposed Outer Ring Road, earmarking high-rise development zone along the MMTS/MRTS corridor, proposed knowledge corridor and to delineate specific areas as sky scraper zone, etc. The HUDA incorporated the same in the master plan and sent it again for Government's approval in December 2006. The State Government has finally proposed to approve the revised draft master plan which is an extensive modification to the present Master Plan/Zonal Development Plans. But it preferred to give a fresh notification inviting public suggestions once again because of huge time gap between the first notification issued by HUDA and the subsequent modifications carried in the draft revised master plan.
Deadline
The much revised and re-revised draft master plan is on display at HUDA's headquarters since May 26, giving 15 days time for people to submit their suggestions addressed to Principal Secretary, Municipal Administration and Urban Development, L Block, Ground Floor, Andhra Pradesh Secretariat before June 10. These suggestions will be considered by the State Government before taking a final decision.
