Bangalore: Karnataka Higher Education Minister D.H. Shankara Murthy on Saturday said that the members of the Legislative Council and officers arrived at a decision to hold common entrance test this academic year for the postgraduate courses benefiting merit students in all universities. He told presspersons after a meeting convened for the purpose that the modalities of the CET and the quantum of seats to be reserved for students in each university or outside it within the State and those from other States would be decided by the Inter University Board. A meeting of the IUB and Vice-Chancellors would be convened soon and a final decision taken.
