GUNTUR: State SC, ST Commission member Adusumilli Pratap Kumar on Saturday probed the death of 12-year-old girl Marri Mani, which had led to protest at the Government General Hospital in Guntur on May 27. The Commission member inquired into an allegation of improper treatment/lack of treatment at the right time. Hailing from Chakraipalem in Addanki mandal, the girl died while being treated. The statements of in-charge superintendent K.N. Varaprasad, Staff Nurse O. Vijayalakshmi, duty assistant surgeon M. Lakshminarayana, pediatrician P. Jhansirani, and Neurosurgeon Seshadri Sekhar were recorded.
