MAHABUBNAGAR: Assured employment and skill development programmes were being imparted to rural youth, both by the police and rural development agencies in the villages selected under rural and interior area development project (RIAD), according to Ashok Kumar Tigidi, Principal Secretary, RIAD. He was reviewing the implementation of the scheme in RIAD villages with the officials on Saturday and said that both the Central and State Governments were keen on providing basic infrastructural amenities in the already selected RIAD villages. He said that a separate wing was opened in the Secretariat to monitor RIAD schemes.Mr.Tigidi said a huge sum of Rs 600 crore was likely to be released by the Central Government, while the State Government had already released Rs 70 crore under youth development. He urged the officials to bring their problems, especially in Chenchugudems and forest prohibited areas, to the Collector's notice.
