MANGALORE: The Secretary, Regional Transport Authority, and Regional Transport Officer (RTO) has directed vehicle owners planning to fix liquefied petroleum gas kits to their vehicles to do so at authorised government centres only. The centres are: Jelu Autogas, Pandeshwar, Rohan Car Gas Conversion, Kankanady, N.N. Autogas, Jeppu, Arun Autogas, Ujjodi and Rex Associates, (Pumpwell) Mahavir Circle, Mangalore. In a release here, the RTO has said there were three LPG refilling stations in the city. Vehicle owners who wished to change the fuel type of their vehicles should fill Form 96 of Karnataka Motor Vehicles Act and obtain authorisation for the conversion on payment of a fee of Rs. 50, the release said.
