Finalist to get to visit UK in September this year

CHENNAI: The British Council has invited applications for the International Young Design Entrepreneur of the Year 2007.

A press release issued by the Council on Friday said professional architects, graphic designers, product designers and professionals from other design-oriented fields, including digital media, could apply for the award. Participants must be in age group of 25 to 35 years.

Applicants must have headed an independent design venture for at least two years, demonstrated the ability to promote design in India, in either a commercial context, public context or both, demonstrated the potential to be a future leader and have English language skills to IELTS (International English Language Testing System) grade 6 — `competent user' and above.

The finalist would visit UK to compete with the finalists.
