Theft charge against student

NEW DELHI: A first year student of law and his friend who allegedly used to steal vehicles for joyrides have been arrested at Karol Bagh here. The police have booked them on charges of stealing 23 motorcycles and two cars.

Sahil Sharma, who did his schooling from a reputed school and was a law student of Indraprastha University, and his friend Vijay were arrested when they were riding an allegedly stolen motorcycle. During interrogation, Sahil purportedly disclosed that he used to steal vehicles from outside showrooms, houses and busy markets.

`Auto lifters' arrested

NEW DELHI: Four young men allegedly involved in auto-lifting have been arrested at New Usmanpur here. The police claim to have recovered six stolen motorcycles at their instance.

The accused, identified as Faizal, Rinku, Lal Babu and Yusuf, were arrested when they were riding stolen motorcycles on Thursday.

Prabhakar's wife held

New Delhi: Former cricketer Manoj Prabhakar's estranged wife was on Saturday arrested on charges of electricity theft at her residence in south Delhi, the police said. Sandhya was caught after the police received a complaint from her neighbour in Kalkaji locality.
