Call to make Kochi a friendly city

Staff Reporter

KOCHI: Christy L. Fernandez, Principal Secretary, Ministry of Tourism, has given a call to make Kochi a friendly city.

Addressing a meeting convened by the Kerala Chamber of Commerce and Industry to discuss a `Clean Green City Project' here on Saturday, he said the concept of a friendly city would mean much more than a clean, green and safe city. Funds would not be a problem for the right kind of projects.

There should be efficient leadership to carry out the projects. Public-private participation would be an effective model for taking up projects.

The drive for a clean city could be started at the school and college level.
