D.SC-2006 list yet to be announced

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: The State D.SC-2006 Selected Teachers Association has appealed to the Government to announce the selection list of D.SC 2006 as directed by the Supreme Court and give postings.

The association leader and the State Unemployed Struggle Committee president R.Krishnaiah met Education Minister Damodar Rajanarsimha and Principal Secretary, Education Venkataramana in the Secretariat here on Saturday and wondered why, despite apex court directions, postings to the selected candidates had not been given.

He said that by delaying the appointments of teachers in Government schools, the Government was becoming responsible for deteriorating standards in those schools attended mostly by poor and backward class students.

The Minister assured that the selection list would be announced at the earliest and discussions about the issue were on with the officials.
