I-Tax offices shifted

The Income Tax Department has shifted some of its offices from their present premises at Aayakar Bhavan and Gagan Vihar to I.T. Towers, A.C. Guards. The offices that are shifted include Commissioner of Income Tax (TDS), Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, Ranges - 8, 14 and 15. The same will start functioning at the new premises from June 4.

Pre-matric hostels

The District Minorities Welfare Officer is inviting applications from eligible students from sixth to tenth standard for admissions into Pre-Matric Hostels for the year 2007-08. Last date for submitting application forms is June 10. Students from minority communities hailing from families whose annual income does not exceed Rs. 12, 000 are eligible for admissions. Applications are available at District Minority Welfare Officer, Sixth floor, Haj House, Nampally.

UK delegation visits Central University

A 15-member delegation from different universities in UK headed by the member of British Parliament Derek Wyatt visited the University of Hyderabad at Gachibowli here on Friday. They interacted with Deans of various faculties and discussed the possibility of joint collaborations and exchange of faculty and students.

PG entrance test

Entrance tests for admission into post-graduate courses of Osmania University will be held on June 4. Timetable is available on the website: www.osmania.ac.in. Candidates who have not received hall tickets can download them from the website by mentioning registration number. For more information, contact Directorate of Admissions on Sunday up to 1 p.m.
