Santhosh sizzles

Madurai: An all-round performance by Santhosh Gopi (60 and five for 20) helped Freak Amigos Cricket Club chalk out a 26-run victory over Majestic Cricket Club in the Madurai District Cricket Association first division `A' zone league here on Sunday.

The scores:

First division `A' zone: Freak Amigos CC 183 in 45.2 overs (Santhosh Gopi 60, Manikandan 40) bt Majestic CC 157 in 30 overs (Saravanan 51, Santhosh Gopi five for 20).

Second division: Agni CC 145 for nine in 26 overs bt Stalwarts CC 140 in 25.1 overs (Balaji four for 32).

Canara Bank 120 in 26 overs lost to Fanatic CC 121 for three in 20.4 overs.

Kaja beats Raja

Kaja of Pot Black Centre registered a 61-42, 56-52, 50-34 win over S. Raja of Billiards Kingdom in the semifinal round-robin league of the third annual district-level snooker tournament on Sunday.
