Rs. 100 crore for temple development

VISAKHAPATNAM: The Department of Endowment has prepared an action plan for development of temples in the State at a cost of Rs.100 crores.

Endowment Commissioner P. Sundar Kumar told reporters on Monday that they would take up phase-wise development with works like improvement of structures, creation of additional amenities for pilgrims.

He said master plans were also being prepared for carrying out various works in 75 temples keeping in view the long-term requirement.

He said data on land records had been digitised and separate legal cells were set up to handle various cases.
