ANANTAPUR: Elections to the district unit of Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists (APUWJ) were held at Kadiri on Sunday. Polling was held for president, general secretary and vice-president posts and three joint secretaries. Nine executive committee members were elected unopposed. M. Ramalinga Reddy was elected president and K. Prasad general secretary. K. Jagadish, K.V. Ramana, B.V. Sivaiah and K. Siva were elected vice-presidents. It was for the first time the district unit elections were held outside the district headquarters.
