Anand, Khan suspended

NEW DELHI: Taking a serious view of the exposure in the sting operation by NDTV, the Supreme Court Bar Association on Monday suspended two members for allegedly influencing a key witness in the BMW hit-and-run-case.

At an extraordinary meeting of the executive committee, a resolution was passed suspending R.K. Anand and I.U. Khan with immediate effect.

The president of the association, P.H. Parekh told The Hindu that a committee had been constituted to probe the allegation against the advocates. The inquiry report should be submitted in four weeks.

It was resolved to issue a show-cause notice to Mr. Anand and Mr. Khan.
