VIJAYAWADA: The Career Counselling 2007 being jointly organised by The Hindu Education Plus and Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions will be held at the Tummalapallivari Kshetrayya Kalashetram here on Wednesday. Acharya Nagarjuna University Vice-Chancellor V. Balamohandas will inaugurate the counselling programme at 10 a.m. Academicians and representatives of the industry with vast experience will answer the queries of students about various courses in engineering, medicine and other allied branches, and also help students arrive at an understanding of what is in store for them after Intermediate.
Sessions
The session on engineering and related courses will be held from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., while the session on medicine and other allied courses will be held from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. Students who have already registered their names either by phone, e-mail or at the offices of The Hindu should be present at the venue with the acknowledgement slip at least 30 minutes before the commencement of the session. Those who could not register till today still have the opportunity of attending the session by reaching at the earliest possible time for a limited number of on-the-spot registrations. Resource persons will answer the questions submitted along with the application forms but students with different questions will still be given an opportunity to shoot some posers directly. The students who have registered for the counselling will be allowed into the auditorium with a single escort only. In the case of the student's inability to attend the session personally, two of his or her representatives will be allowed to attend it on production of the acknowledgement slip.
