Wonder XI enters final

Udhagamandalam: Wonder XI Cricket Club defeated Pandalur Taluk Sports Club by three wickets to enter the final of the TNCA-NDCA `B' division league for the Murali Babu Rolling Trophy at the Laidlaw Memorial School grounds here recently.

The other semifinal between Cordite Factory Sports Club and Kotagiri Sports Association was washed out due to rain. However, Cordite Factory entered the title clash on a better point aggregate in the league matches.

The scores:

`B' division: Semifinals: Pandalur Taluk SC 184 (A. Mohammed 41, G.J. Dass four for 44) lost to Wonder XI CC 185 for seven in 37.5 overs.

Cordite Factory SC 134 (Aananda Ramoo four for 36) vs. Kotagiri Sports Association 18 for no loss in 4.5 overs (Cordite Factory declared winner on better point aggregate).

`A' division: Yankees 116 (A. John Michael five for 20) lost to All Stars 122 (G. Eshwar four for 26).

Aslam sparkles

Aslam Sher Khan struck a fine 92 in R.K.S. Cricket Academy's handsome 214-run win over ABT Cricket Club in the TNCA-CDCA first division league for 2007-08 for the Pricol Trophy at the TNAU grounds in Coimbatore recently.

The scores:

First division: Jolly Rovers CC 216 for nine in 50 overs lost to Arumugam CC 220 for three in 36.5 overs (Y. Sunil 68, S.M. Sundaresan 67 not out).

RKS CA 298 for seven in 50 overs (Aslam Sher Khan 92, Sreejan 64) bt ABT CC 84 in 28.3 overs.

Rainbow CC 240 in 49.4 overs (Sakthivel 54, Venkatesan 40) bt Sri Ramakrishna Mills SC 233 in 50 overs (K. Nazer 46, Tharun 43, Sundaramoorthy).

Easy for Gurusai CC

Gurusai Cricket Club (Gurusamipalayam) posted a comfortable 65-run win over LMCC (Namakkal) in the TNCA-DCAN `A' division league at the SPB Colony grounds in Pallipalayam here recently.

The scores:

`A' division: Gurusai CC (Gurusamipalayam) 161 in 36.4 overs (J. Raja 48, N. Navaneethakumar 41) bt LMCC (Namakkal) 96 in 22 overs (T. Perumal four for 22).

SPB SC (Pallipalayam) 157 in 39 overs (S. Mohandoss 43) bt ICRC (Sankari West) 141 in 34.2 overs (Loganathan 46).
