Good response to pre-admission guidance programme

Scope of the programme includes admissions to private engineering, medical colleges

KOZHIKODE: The pre-admission guidance programme to be organised by The Hindu -Educationplus in Kozhikode on June 9 is evoking good response from students.

The programme, for students who have qualified for admission to professional colleges in the State, will be held at Calicut Towers, Markaz Complex, Mavoor Road, Kozhikode.

Introduction

The students will be given an introduction to the counselling programme and the seat allotment process of the Commissioner of Entrance Examinations and an overview of the key courses. The scope of the programme includes admissions to private engineering and medical colleges.

Entry will be on first-come-first-served basis.

Students can register for the programme in advance on payment of a registration fee of Rs.50 each.

The registration form is available at the office of The Hindu on Kannur Road (phone: 0495-2762201-04/2360484).

Registration of names is being done on the e-mail ID calicutcounselling@thehindu.co.in

In view of the good response the programme has evoked in the neighbouring Malappuram district, arrangements have been made for registration at the office of The Hindu at Kiliyamannil Plaza, Up Hill, Malappuram (phone: 0483-2736661).

Experts in the fields of medical and engineering education will answer questions from the participants. State Bank of Travancore (SBT) is the presenting sponsor and TIME the co-sponsor of the event.

Handbook

A handbook providing a detailed overview of the main courses will be given free to each participant.

Similar programmes are being held at Kochi (June 8) and at Thiruvananthapuram (June 10).
