ADJ's son held on rape charge

Police recover vehicle used in crime

Lucknow: The son of an Additional District Judge is one of the two persons arrested by police here for allegedly kidnapping and raping a woman two days ago.

Amit Bhadauria, son of ADJ Barabanki, and Akhilesh allegedly kidnapped a 40-year-old woman, working as a beautician, from Vikas Nagar area on the night of June 3 and raped her in their moving vehicle for over three hours.

Later, they dumped her near an engineering college and threatened her of dire consequences if she reported the matter to anyone. On insistence of family members, she lodged an FIR in Madiyaon police station on Monday night.

The police traced the accused through calls made by them and also recovered the vehicle used in the crime, they said.

While Bhadauria is a lawyer, the other accused Akhilesh works in the medical section of the High Court, they said adding both of them have been arrested and confessed to the crime.- PTI
