Lucknow: Temperatures in some parts of Uttar Pradesh rose slightly on Tuesday with the State Capital recording a maximum of 41.6 degrees Celsius. The maximum in the city on Monday was 41.2 degrees Celsius. Allahabad recorded a maximum of 41.8 degrees Celsius, Varanasi 41.2 degrees and Jhansi 41.7 degrees. The weatherman forecast that the maximum would rise up to a sizzling 44 degrees on Wednesday. At least 14 persons have died so far due to heat stroke in the State, but no deaths were reported on Tuesday, official sources said. - PTI.
