HYDERABAD: Opposition from a section of Coastal Congress leaders notwithstanding, the State Government on Tuesday issued orders for sending back its non-locals employees to their parent zones. The G.O. 399 issued to this effect assumes significance in the backdrop of the controversy generated by the resignation of seven Congress MLAs from Andhra region led by Gade Venkata Reddy from the House Committee on G.O. 610. But the latest orders did not come as a surprise to many as Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy has recently made an announcement on these lines. Issued at a time when the Telangana Rashtra Samithi upped its ante over the delay in the implementation of G.O. 610 and abrupt postponement of the House Committee's meetings, the order however, irked Congress MP Chengondi Harirama Jogaiah. He saw a conspiracy to "throw out" Andhra employees from Telangana through its implementation. Mr. Jogaiah said he was in consultation with lawyers and would file a petition in the court, if necessary. According to the orders, the juniors among the identified employees categories will be transferred first under the principle of "last in first go". While the departments were asked to identify candidates for "inter local cadre transfers", they were, however, not given time in respect of those working here on deputation. Such employees will be sent out on the basis of their seniority as the principle of "first in first go" will be applied here.
Fixing of seniority
Instructions for fixing seniority for the employees transferred on inter local cadre basis would be issued separately. The G.O. 399 made it clear that the ban orders in transfers issued by the Finance Department would not be applicable in case of inter local cadre transfers. The ban would be relaxed till the repatriation process was completed on June 30.
