Delimitation order challenged

HYDERABAD: A Division Bench of the High Court on Tuesday ordered notices be issued to the Union of India, the Attorney General, the Election Commission and the Delimitation Commission in a writ petition, filed by Venugopal Reddy, former MLA of Kavali, challenging the final notification issued by the panel pertaining to the Kavali constituency in Nellore district.

Icfai signs MoU

APCC welcomes

move on prisoners

HYDERABAD: The APCC has welcomed the State Government to give remission to nearly 2,000 prisoners on the basis of good conduct. In a statement here , its spokesperson N. Tulasi Reddy said the move was part of the reforms process that began during the British rule itself. CPI's plea to YSR

HYDERABAD: The CPI has urged Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy to inform the Centre about the "undemocratic" attitude of the Chhattisgarh Government in encouraging armed squads of Salwa Judum that are entering Andhra Pradesh and threatening tribals. Addressing a press conference here on Tuesday, party State secretary K. Narayana said unable to bear the harassment by Salwa Judum activists, tribals of more than 200 habitations fled Chhattisgarh and were taking shelter on the Andhra-Orissa border. - Special Correspondent
