Explosive-laden car blasted at Bijbehara
Srinagar:
Militants on Tuesday caused the blast of an explosive-laden car near a police station at Bijbehara on the Srinagar-Jammu national highway, injuring two persons, official sources said.
The explosive in the car, parked on the highway, 100 metres from the police station, was detonated around 3.30 p.m. The area was sealed and a hunt launched to nab the militants. No militant outfit has so far claimed responsibility for the blast.
Meanwhile, a special police officer was abducted by unidentified gunmen from his house in Kulgam district of Jammu and Kashmir on Tuesday. Bilal Ahmed was abducted from his house at Hassanpora, police said. PTI
