The District Minorities Welfare Department has invited applications from those wanting to go on Haj this year. The application forms are available at this office, said District Minority Welfare Officer K. Sivasankar.

Meet for resource persons

Jana Sikshana Sansthan organised an awareness conference for various resource persons on the topic "Population, education and AIDS awareness". JSS president N. Vidya Kanna presided over the conference. Ms. Kanna said that there was a need to impart life skills to parents and their children.

Sai Gitagnana Yagnam

For the first time, Sri Shirdi Sai Gitagnana Yagnam is being held at Sivarama Krishna Kshetram opposite Satyanarayanapuram railway station from June 6 to 12. It will be daily from 6.30 p.m. to 8.30 p.m. Sri Sai Viswa Chaitanya will speak on "Sai tatvam".
