HYDERABAD: A laundry owner, Ramesh Qurana, 50, was stabbed to death by an unidentified person near his workshop at Chandanwadi in Shahinayatgunj during the day on Tuesday. The victim had lunch at his workshop around 1.30 p.m. and rang up his son Adarsh from his mobile phone asking him to come to the workshop stating that he had to go out on some work. The laundry owner set out on his Honda Activa later. "It is not yet known what happened later but Adarsh complained to us that he saw his father lying on the road with knife wounds on his throat and chest, some 100 yards from the workshop," the Shahinayatgunj police said. Adarsh rushed his father to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead. It is suspected that the murder was a fall-out of a property dispute. Qurana was running the workshop in a rented building for the past few years. He wanted to buy the building but another tenant, who was living on the first floor of the building, was also eyeing the building.
