PREMIUM SEDAN: President and CEO of Honda Siel Cars India Masahiro Takedagawa at the launch of Honda Civic 1.8 V in New Delhi on Tuesday.
NEW DELHI: Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI) has launched the Honda Civic 1.8V range in India as part of the celebrations to mark "Civic's unprecedented success in India.'' The Civic 1.8V range offers enhanced interior styling with leather interiors in addition to features such as turn lamps on the outside rear view mirror and fog lamps, which complement the premium look of the car. The interior of the V range is plush, with a luxurious feel. The Civic, which dominates the lower D segment in India, will now have two additional colour options misty violet (available exclusively in the V range) and carbon bronze pearl along with the existing colours available in the 1.8S range. The V range will be available in manual transmission (MT) and automatic transmission (AT) variants. The new range will co-exist with the Civic 1.8S series launched last year. The price range is Rs. 11.51 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for 1.8V MT and Rs. 12.21 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) for 1.8V AT. Announcing the launch of the new range here, Masahiro Takedagawa, President and Chief Executive Officer, HSCI, said, "The luxury features are a result of customer feedback we have received. We value our customers' feedback and constantly try to accommodate the same in our models. Civic's appeal has now been enhanced with additional features in the 1.8V range.'' HSCI has sold nearly 20,000 units of the Civic in less than a year of its launch, which is an exceptional achievement for the lower D segment in India. Honda launched its global best seller Honda Civic in India in July 2006.
