Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation has appointed two full-time directors to look after its high-speed airport link and rolling stock. Mangu Singh has been appointed Director Airport Link, while Harjit Singh Anand will be Director Rolling Stock.

Mr. Singh, a civil engineer, was involved in construction of the Kolkata Metro and the underground work of Delhi Metro's Phase I. As Executive Director of Airport Project, he played a key role in the planning and design of the high-speed airport express link from New Delhi railway station to Indira Gandhi International Airport. Mr. Anand worked with Indian Railways and IRCON International Limited before joining the DMRC as Executive Director Rolling Stock. He coordinated the in-house preparation of tender documents and invited international competitive bidding for design, manufacture, supply, testing, commissioning, training and transfer of technology for Metro cars to meet the requirements of Phase-II.
