HASSAN: Secretary of the youth wing of the State unit of the Janata Dal (Secular) H.S. Raghu has criticised the former Minister and Congress MLA B. Shivaram for his remarks against Minister for Public Works and energy and Hassan district in-charge H.D. Revanna. In a press release here on Wednesday, Mr. Raghu urged Mr. Shivaram to concentrate on development o his constituency. Mr. Raghu said that Mr. Revanna had obtained crores of rupees for the development of the district. He said that though Mr. Shivaram was a Minister in the Dharam Singh cabinet and representing Gandsi Assembly constituency for the fourth consecutive time, he had not nursed the constituency. When the railways closed Dudda Railway station that was constructed by the British, Mr. Shivaram failed to convince the Railway Minister to open the railway statio. When miscreants burnt all houses in Dyapalapura village few years ago, Mr. Shivaram despite representing this village did nothing, he alleged. It was the former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda who released funds from his MP development funds and built houses there, he said.
