Police website provides tips to check crime

PUDUCHERRY:
To have a better public interface, the police department has launched its website providing vital information about the department and tips to help people prevent crime and getting cheated.
The website — http://police.pondicherry.gov.in — provides the organisational chart, contact numbers, email address, the modalities involved in launching complaints and various other public friendly tools.
The important part of the website is crime prevention tips to help the public be on guard when dealing with chit fund investment offers, companies black listed by RBI and offers of foreign jobs.
The site was inaugurated by Chief Minister N. Rangasamy.
