`Education is a liberating force'

BANGALORE:
True education is a liberating force and it should emancipate human beings from superstitions as well as parochial loyalties, said Governor T.N. Chaturvedi here on Wednesday.
Speaking after inaugurating the Ebenezer International School, Bangalore (EISB), in the vicinity of Electronics City, he said education was a powerful tool to empower people.
Home Minister M.P. Prakash regretted that parents, in their eagerness to realise dreams through their children, put unnecessary pressure on them.
Founder Chairman Abraham Ebenezer said that it was his vision to start a new-age school. The school would put joy back into learning.
Trustee Indrani Sudarshan said that the school has already enrolled more than 200 students and, this year, they would restrict the number to 500.
