Isolated rain

in Tamil Nadu

CHENNAI: Rain occurred at most places over Rayalaseema, at many places over coastal Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Lakshadweep and at a few places over Kerala and Telangana. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu. The following stations recorded heavy rainfall in centimeters: Kadri (Ananthapur dt.) 12, Rajampet and Vempalli (both Cuddapah dt.) and Nagarkurnool (Mahabubnagar dt.) 9 each, Kasargod, Jamakhandi (Bagalkote dt.) and Kunigal (Tumkur dt.) 8 each and Kundapur (Udupi dt.) and Koppal 7 each.

FORECAST (valid until Saturday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at many places over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, North Kerala and Lakshadweep and at a few places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, south Kerala.

Heavy Rainfall Warning: Isolated heavy rain is likely to occur over Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, North Kerala and Lakshadweep during the next 48 hours.

Outlook For Subsequent Two days: No significant change.
