Sudharsan Engg. College

Sudharsan Engineering College, promoted by Sudharsan Educational Trust, Pudukkottai, was established in the year 2000, by the Chairman Shri. V.K.Sundaram, an Industrialist, son of late Brahmashri K.Vanchinadha Dikshitar, a Vedic Scholar. The College is located on the National Highway 210, between Tiruchirappalli (40 km) and Pudukkottai (12 km) on a vast campus spread over 25 acres. The serene surroundings and calm pollution free atmosphere provide an environment conductive to learning. The College is approved by AICTE and affiliated to Anna University.

The College offers Six U.G.Courses in the field of Civil, Mechanical, EEE, ECE, CSE and IT and has proposed to introduce M.B.A., M.C.A., M.E. (Communication System), M.E. (CSE), and M.E. (CAD/CAM) this academic year. The Head of the Institution Dr.R.Raghavan, Ph.D., is an administrator with a challenging commitment to produce high quality engineers. The College has a team of highly qualified, experienced, dedicated and sincere faculty members ably supported by technical and administrative staff. In order to improve the employability and to ensure placement college has signed MOUs with IBM, GIS, Ramana Heavy Industries and Converteam, With the noble vision "Be the best and continuously improve" the college aims to provide high quality technical education to rural students. Placement oriented programs on hard ware and networking IBM-DB2, VLSI, Virtual Instrumentation, Embedded Systems etc., are organized by the College.

Sona Memorial Computer and IT Centre has a carpet area of over 40,000 sq.ft. spread over three floors with granite floor up and central air conditioning. Over 400, PIV IBM/Acer systems with latest configuration and supporting software are available for students use.

A modern well equipped language lab helps students to learn and improve upon their language skills. Various latest licensed simulation packages like MATLAB, SIMULINK, RSPICE etc., are readily accessible. Separate CAD/CAM Laboratories provides insite into AutoCad, Pro-E and ANSYS SOFTWARE application. The College provides separate excellent hostel facilities with separate gym for boys and girls.

Entire College campus in interconnected through fibre optical cable for intranet and a sophisticated I Mbps bandwidth Internet facility is available at all locations in the campus. Central Library located in a spacious two-storied building has more than 20,000 books, VCD/CDs, Journals / Magazines. It also houses a digital library and an e-learning center.

Success of story is assessed by the outcome and all the students of previous batches of Sudharsan Engineering College are all well placed in India or Abroad.

As additional feathers in the cap of the Trust, the following Educational Institutions are also run by the Trust in Pudukkottai District with all requisite infrastructure facilities.
