Special Correspondent
Puducherry: Chief Minister N. Rangasamy recommended the name of M. Kandasamy (Government Whip) for induction into the Ministry during his meeting with Lt Governor Mukut Mithi at Raj Nivas on Wednesday. The size of the Ministry would be restored to six in the wake of Mr Kandasamy joining the Cabinet. Mr Kandasamy, elected from Bahoor (reserved) constituency, is likely to be assigned the Welfare portfolio. He was Minister earlier in 1990s. The procedure in the Union Territory is that the letter submitted by the Chief Minister should be sent to Union Home Ministry for approval.
