Chennai: A seminar of the Asian Cricket Council (ACC) will be held here on Friday. This will be followed by the ACC's AGM on Saturday. Interestingly, leading cricketers will take part Thursday's conclave. Sri Lankan skipper Mahela Jayawardene will speak from "A captain's perspective." The newly-appointed acting president of the International Cricket Council, Ray Mali, will also be present at the meeting. Celebrated South African all-rounder Shaun Pollock will share his thoughts on how cricket in Africa can be developed through partnership with Asia. Syed Ashraful Haq, CEO, ACC, will stress growth of the game in Asia, and Dr. N. Ashraf, chairman, Pakistan Cricket Board, the challenges and opportunities before Asian cricket. Haider Farman, General Manager, Olympic Council of Asia, will talk about the impact of Asian Games on cricket development in Asia. Peter Chingoka, chairman, Zimbabwe Cricket Union, will highlight Afro-Asian cooperation. ACC women's panel member Shubhangi Kulkarni will focus on women's cricket in Asia. And P. Krishnaswamy of the Malysian Cricket Association will tell the audience why his country is ready for greater challenges on the field of play.
