HYDERABAD: Flights bound for Muscat from Hyderabad have been cancelled since Wednesday after cyclone Gonu hit the east coast of Oman with heavy rain and high winds lashing Muscat. Prior information was given to all passengers explaining the climatic conditions in Oman. Some of the airlines elsewhere in the country operating flights to Muscat were also cancelled. Officials of Oman Air on Thursday said scheduled flights to and from Muscat have been cancelled in view of the adverse climatic conditions. Apart from Indian Airlines flights, Oman Air operates a direct flight to Muscat from the Rajiv Gandhi International Airport at Begumpet at 6.30 a.m. every day.
