Rs. 107 crore for Haryana horticulture

CHANDIGARH: The Centre has approved an outlay of Rs.107 crore for development of horticulture in Haryana under the National Horticulture Mission (NHM) for the current financial year, Agriculture Minister Harmohinder Singh Chatha said here on Thursday.

He disclosed that the Centre had also given its nod to cover two more districts of Jind and Mahendragarh under the NHM scheme.

He pointed out that already 15 districts of Haryana including Rohtak, Ambala, Panchkula, Yamunanagar, Karnal, Panipat, Sonipat, Jhajjar, Faridabad, Mewat, Gurgaon, Hisar, Fatehabad, Sirsa and Bhiwani were covered under the NHM while Kurukshetra was covered under it for cultivation of mushroom only.
