Make power companies pay relief: Vardhan

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: Taking up the issue of power and water scarcity in the New Delhi Municipal Council (NDMC) areas, Delhi Bharatiya Janata Party president Harsh Vardhan on Thursday charged that the summer action plan of the Delhi Government was only on paper and had not been implemented.

In a statement, Dr. Vardhan also demanded that the power distribution companies responsible for load shedding and consequent failure of water supply be made to pay compensation to the consumers and that the Government immediately enforce the rules framed in this regard.
