BBMP official arrested

BANGALORE: The Lokayukta police on Wednesday caught P. Narasimhamurthy, a senior health inspector of the Bruhat Bangalore Mahanagara Palike. He was allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs. 50,000 from an industrialist, Parashurama Sa Habeeb, who had applied for a licence to set up a mineral water plant in Tatanagar. The officer was arrested and produced before a Sessions Court.
