BANGALORE: The general category medical/dental seat selection process continued for the second day at the Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell here on Thursday. Medical rank-holders from 2,001 to 8,000 selected the available seats. Friday is the final day for the admission round counselling for MBBS and BDS seats. On the trouble faced by certain students without original second year PUC marks cards, the Cell officials said all the problems had been sorted out. Besides, only a handful of students who had applied for re-evaluation had problems. They need not wait till the casual vacancy round to submit their original certificates. Over 14,000 second year pre-university candidates had applied for photocopies of answer scripts. Another 8,000 had sought re-evaluation and 600 had approached the Department of Pre-University Education for re-totalling. Candidates who had taken science subjects had hoped their CET rankings would improve if the re-evaluation was positive. The seat selection process for Indian Systems of Medicine and Homoeopathy will be on June 9 and 11 before the admission round counselling for engineering seats begins on June 13.
