Pulse Polio campaign from June 10

Sangareddy: District Medical and Health Officer Sarojini Reddy, in a press release here, informed that a three-day Pulse Polio campaign would begin on June 10. In all, 3.60 lakh children in the age group of 0-5 years would be given vaccination against the dreaded disease during the three days.

The Medical Department has set up 2,032 booths in the rural areas of the district and 250 booths in urban areas. There would one supervisor for ten such booths. Each booth could cater to the need of at least 350 children. Pulse Polio drops would be administered right from 7 in the morning till 6 in the evening. On the remaining two days volunteers would be personally visiting each and every household to ensure that the vaccination is complete.

The DM and HO has also urged the people's representatives help in creating awareness among the rural public about the importance of Polio drops.

As a part of the campaign, a rally would be organised in the town on June 9.
