Release AIADMK activists: Jayalalithaa

Special Correspondent

CHENNAI: General secretary of the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) Jayalalithaa on Thursday demanded immediate release of party activists, who were arrested while participating in demonstrations in different parts of the State flaying the "undignified remarks" against her in the DMK organ.

In a statement here, she said the ruling party workers attacked the AIADMK activists, who held a peaceful protest.

Remanding the activists was opposed to democratic norms, she added.
