Exhibition of posters

Posters are an integral part of public expression, advertising our cinema, elections, events and protests. The Alliance Francaise de Bangalore, in collaboration with AECA Design, is hosting 50 posters designed by Charmaine D'Souza for the Alliance over the past five years.

The exhibition titled Unofficial/Official is on from June 9 to 15, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

Ms. D'Souza is an upcoming design consultant and entrepreneur, graduated in 2003 from the Srishti School of Art, Design & Technology, Bangalore.

In 2004, she was asked to present her work at the International Design Biennale in Saint-Etienne. She set up her own firm, AECA Design, in Bangalore last year.

Ms. D'Souza started her relationship with the Alliance Francaise de Bangalore in 2001, while still in design school, creating the signage for the cultural centre's premises on Thimmaiah Road. This is her first solo exhibition in the city.
